An interactive information module that was designed to introduce new society leaders to the role that societies play in the mission of CFA Institute. This program went through two iterations of content development. The first iteration combined information from a web call and supplemental materials into a self-directed interactive program; the second version delivered a shorter, more focused and refined version of the content. Both were produced in Articulate Storyline.

Society Leader Orientation

Strong Suit: Transformed synchronous program into an asynchronous program in Articulate Storyline. Worked within company brand standards and guidelines.

Project: Informational Module on Society Leader Expectations

Program Foundations & Brand Alignment
Developed for CFA Institute Society Relations, this asynchronous orientation introduces incoming society leaders to their governance roles, organizational operations, and the strategic partnership between local societies and CFA Institute. Designed in Articulate Storyline, the user experience strictly adheres to CFA Institute brand standards, delivering custom visuals, professional audio narration, and real-world impact stories that highlight how local societies elevate the global investment profession.

Self-Paced Modular Navigation
Built for executive flexibility, the course features non-linear menu architecture that allows board members to navigate topics according to their immediate priorities. Interactive tracking provides visual completion indicators as users explore each core domain.

Storytelling & Leadership Impact
The curriculum weaves inspirational case studies and member stories throughout the narrative to illustrate the tangible value local societies bring to the financial community. This thematic thread prompts new leaders to consider their personal legacy and strategic contribution during their tenure on the board.

Downloadable Reflection & Board Discussion Tools
To bridge digital learning with organizational practice, each module concludes with a structured reflection guide. Leaders can record personal insights or leverage these prompts during board meetings to align strategy, foster discussion, and strengthen local society governance.

My Role:

  • Managed the process of reorganizing the material to create a more structured approach.

  • Worked with writers to produce new storyboards for the content and managed the writing and review process.

  • Designed the “look and feel” prototypes to establish a design direction based upon CFA Institute brand guidelines and created a set of templates in Storyline.

  • Managed the development process and compressed the development timeline by distributing Storyline production work to several developers and merging files for review cycles and final composition.
